Space NK Haul

12:00 Unknown 0 Comments

Last week I took a trip to London to see family and while I was there I had to visit at least one of the many Space NK stores. I have yet to try any of the products out, but I'm sure you'll see them on the blog soon enough with raving reviews I hope.

Here is what I picked up...

I've been noticing my skin looking a little more uneven, with pores more visible etc. recently and so after speaking with one of the sales assistants about my options I selected this Ren one to try.

I was also looking for a daytime oil that I could wear under makeup (I am very into oils at the moment) and after one of the girls raved about how much she loved this particular one I was sold and picked it up. Pricey compared to what I would normally spend, but if you are going to spend a lot on one product, oil/serum is when to do it.

Following the consultation I had a few weeks back with Nars (post linked below) I have been craving this bronzer and so I couldn't resist when I saw it again. I knew I loved it so I'm very excited to get using it.

Another product I have wanted for ages but couldn't justify the price tag for eyelash curlers, but after hearing yet another person loving them and claiming that they are the best they just seemed to end up in my hands on the way to the till. Very excited to try them out and really hope they live up to my expectations.

And that's everything! My purse feels a little lighter, but I restrained myself a lot as so many things tempted me. I am really interested in seeing how everything I picked up turns out, fingers crossed its all brilliant!

Thank you for reading this post, I hope you enjoyed it.

A Shopping Trip To MAC

12:00 Unknown 2 Comments

So as explained in the previous two posts, I recently escaped to Liverpool for the weekend and while I was there did a few bits of shopping. Although I have always been into all things beauty and interested in makeup, MAC has always seemed intimidating to me, particularly as my local counter is always busy and appears unapproachable. However I found a MAC store that was fairly quiet and had a few really lovely women working there to help me out.

Read on to see what I picked up...

Prefilled Palette - Warm Neutral
This palette was too good to resist, it gives you the perfect range of basic warm shades, with a few shades to help build more of a statement eye if you wanted. Even better is the price of £65 when if you built a x15 palette yourself it would be £160 so the deal for some of the most useable shades is really great. I am already really enjoying playing around with this palette and gining favourites that I keep reaching for. I will probably do a makeup post of a look created using this palette soon.

Veluxe Pearl Eyeshadow - Coppering
This eyeshadow right here I am totally in love with, I am obsessed. I really love using copper tones on my eyes as not only does it make my blue eyes pop (orange is opposite on the colour wheel) but it also compliments my ginger hair so beautifully. This eyeshadow is perfect in my eyes - super pigmented but still buildable, lasts ages and doesn't crease and is such a beautiful shade. I could go on all day with my love for this product.

I hope you enjoyed this post, I think now I've put my foot in the door with MAC the love with only continue to grow as more purchases are made and playing around with the products is done. Very excited!

Nars Consultation And Purchases

12:00 Unknown 0 Comments

So last weekend I took a trip to Liverpool and while I was there I popped into the Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar to get a consultation at the Nars counter. Below I've listed everything she used on me, and then I made a few purchases (with several of the other products being added to my wish list!).

I hope you enjoy this post, read on for products...

Foundation: Sheer Glow in Mont Blanc
Concealer: Creamy Concealer in Vanilla
Powder: Light Reflecting Loose Setting Powder
Eyes:
Soft Touch Shadow Pencil in Skorpios
Duo Eyeshadow in St Paul De Vence
Eye Paint in Black Valley
Volumising Mascara in Black
Brows:
Brow Perfector in Kalamata
Brow Gel in Athens
Bronzer: Bronzing Powder in Laguna
Cheek: Dual Intensity Blush in Craving
Lips:
Velvet Lip Liner in Waimea
Satin Lip Pencil in Lodhi

Nars Sheer Glow - Mont Blanc

Soft Touch Shadow Pencil - Skorpios

I thoroughly enjoyed my consultation with Nars, for a number of reasons, but I knew as soon as I saw the consultant/MUA that it was going to go well as she had the exact eye makeup look I would go for - a bronze copper warm toned look! We really talked about both my skin and makeup type as well as my style and what I would normally wear, then we found the best products for me. Luckily at the end she wrote down all the products we had used (also very helpful so I could tell you guys) so that I can go back to the list to pick up the other products I loved - the Laguna bronzer is definitely next on the list!

Finished look with an added red lip (not the product listed)

I hope you liked this post, something a little different to a haul! I have two more Liverpool posts coming your way - a MAC haul and an outfits post from the weekend - so make sure to follow to see these and more posts on Mondays and Fridays.

Thank you for reading!

Summer City Night

12:00 Unknown 2 Comments

I am really getting into being more experimental with fashion and blogging about fashion, so today I have an outfit post from my recent trip to York.

The weather was very hot for what we're used to in the UK, and this was my summer evening look...

Dress - Boohoo
Shoes - Topshop
Jacket - Boohoo
Sunglasses - New Look
Bag - Accessorize
Rings - Accessorize

I really loved this look and found that it was really simple but still made a statement. The night was so warm that the jacket wasn't really needed but I always like to have something to hand. The sandal boots are a new addition to my wardrobe but I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of them through the next few months.

I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know any thoughts below.

Thanks for reading!

Clinique Haul

12:01 Unknown 0 Comments

Firstly, I've had a few weeks off as life appears to fall together and then from my experience falls apart - not going into any details here though.

Anyway, in between all of the drama I did a little shopping at Clinique and thought I'd share what I picked up...

The reason for the shop was to pick this product up as I was nearly (and now completely) finished my current one and it is a product I couldn't live without. I use this as a general moisturiser or boost of hydration during the day, as well as a primer before makeup. It smooths the skin leaving it plumped and a perfect base.

I also wanted to pick up a concealer as up until this point I had only ever tried drugstore concealers which, given the very bad under eye circles I have, were not matching up to the job. I am in love with this product! It is amazing at covering any imperfection, super easily to blend with my finger and manages to remain even without settling into lines or creases.

This came as part of a free set and was by far the stand out product, it is a perfect primer for makeup under the eyes. It works very similar to the moisture surge but for the eyes - I love it and definitely will be needing the full size.

Also included in free gift, handy travel essential to remove makeup. I like this product however I find the oil really lingers on the skin and therefore would only use as a first cleanse and not the only cleanse.

I have yet to try the sample size mascara however the only downfall is that it isn't waterproof as at the moment I am a complete convert to waterproof mascara. I've heard good things about this one though so I will give it a go.

And the final free gift was this lip product - which I went on to break as it is very soft - but I love the colour and I am always up for a new lip product to try.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I should be back to posting every Monday and Friday from now.

Thank you for reading!

Duty Free Buys

12:00 Unknown 2 Comments

So for any beauty blogger travelling and going through the airport, a visit to duty free is essential. Everything I purchased are products that I have had previously and loved and so simply taking advantage of the discount you get buying from duty free.

So lets see what I picked up...

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Essentials Trio - This beautiful buy includes the normal eight hour cream, the eight hour cream lip balm and the eight hour cream hand treatment. I use the normal eight hour cream as a lip balm when I'm in the house or before bed so a backup is always good. The lip balm in the set will be perfect for me to use when out and about, including spf for the summer months. And last but not least, you can never go wrong with a hand cream!

Boss Ma Vie Travel Duo - This set includes the Eau De Parfum 75ml and the Perfumed Body Lotion 100ml. Boss Ma Vie is possible my favourite scent and whenever I wear it I get a lot of compliments, even hours after spraying, showing how strong and long-wearing it is. Therefore the discounted  prices and special travel set on offer at duty free was too good to miss.

L'occitane Shower Oil - I can't even explain how amazing this product is when used as a shave oil. Its pricey but lasts so long that you can totally justify it, especially when you feel how amazing your skin feels after using it. Therefore its even better when picked up at duty free as the price is a little less painful and you are still getting an amazing product to take away.

I hope that you found this post interesting, I know for some people they want to take advantage of duty free but the amount of products is so overwhelming so they don't know where to begin. Maybe this post helped a little!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog, I post every Monday and Friday at 12pm GMT so I hope to see you then.
